On June 15, TON was officially renamed to GRAM. For crypto payment platforms, the operational challenge was not the token itself (holders did not need to take any action) but the temporary desync between exchanges, wallets, and rate sources as each updated the asset name on its own schedule. Even a short mismatch between what clients see in the Back Office and what a rate source returns is enough to trigger support tickets and reconciliation questions. The Finassets team renamed the asset to GRAM (ex-TON) in the Back Office ahead of the transition.

TON Renamed to GRAM

What's new

  • the asset is now displayed as GRAM (ex-TON) across the Back Office
  • no action was required from clients holding or transacting with the asset
  • payment flows, balances, and API references continued without interruption

Keeping the asset name aligned with what clients see across exchanges and wallets removes a common source of reconciliation issues during a rebrand.
